The Utop app will provide an online gift store, according to the signed contract, and the online shopping component of the Utop app will be integrated into OCB's OMNI app. On the OCB side, it will offer services such as card and account opening, as well as the integration of OCB's payment gateway into the Utop application.
With the signing of Utop and bringing outstanding services of this application to OCB OMNI digital bank such as gift warehouse or online shopping, OCB wishes that customers will have the optimal experience when all are integrated into one application, from financial solutions, payment, investment to basic needs in life that be delivered quickly and conveniently, this is also a plan in the strategy of building an ecosystem of utilities around the OCB OMNI application with the prospect of increasing the number of customers in the future. It is expected that in February 2022, the applications will be upgraded to the system to bring optimized services to users.
Comprehensive digitization is considered a strategy that OCB has been focusing on investing and developing in recent years while giving priority to the criterion of creating a seamless experience journey for customers. Therefore, in 2021, the number of OCB OMNI app users will triple, transaction volume will increase by more than 60%, and eKYC will increase 15 times compared to 2020.
OCB OMNI digital banking application fully integrates features and utilities to serve diverse needs of customers, such as opening an account directly without going to the counter via eKYC (online identification); opening an online card while choosing a super short numbered account; interbank money transfer; foreign currency trading; securities trading; deposit savings with preferential interest rates or creating your own QR code to pay, transferring money and saving for all future transactions; online electricity/water payment transactions or phone top-ups; booking flight tickets, movie tickets, book hotels, shops, etc. In particular, when using OCB OMNI service, customers will be completely exempted from registration fee, management fee, Internet banking fee, SMS fee, money transfer fee inside and outside the system, international money transfer fee, etc., along with discounts and cashback up to 50% at partner stores affiliated with the Bank.
The cooperation with OCB is also part of Utop's new development strategy when targeting corporate customers. Launched in 2018, Utop is an application that provides promotional deals or food vouchers from famous FnB brands in the market, from big restaurant chains like GGG (Gogi house, Manwah, Hutong, etc.), QSR (Aka House, Pizza company), to a series of well-known systems such as Phuc Long, Sanfulou, Lotteria, texas, etc. In addition to the food and beverage segment, Utop also develops other fields such as providing shopping vouchers at Vin, FPT shop, petrol vouchers or online courses with the aim of building a comprehensive, caring utility ecosystem and taking care of consumers from the smallest needs. Prominently in 2021, during the time of social distancing, Utop cooperated with the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City to launch the online market model - a form of digitizing the traditional market. With this model, people can buy essential products, consumer goods and other items from the traditional market but do not need to go directly. The online market model also helps small businesses reach customers on online tools, contributing to increasing sales during the pandemic.
Besides providing services to individual customers, in 2021, Utop also introduces Utop Rewards service that provides smart gift solutions for loyalty programs, marketing and sales of businesses based on a huge online voucher store. And especially, Utop Rewards also advises and builds a separate gift warehouse to create the maximum connection for companies with their users. This is considered a new development for both Utop and institutional customers at a time when consumer shopping habits change because of the pandemic. Utop's wide and diverse network of fields will support businesses with ""gifts"" that are useful, systematic and much more convenient than traditional methods.
